Dr. Anisa Hassan is associate medical director for the Compassus program serving Joplin, Missouri. She is also a hematologist and oncologist at the Freeman Cancer Institute, part of the Freeman Health System.
During her 21 years with Freeman Cancer Institute, Hassan has served as director, principal investigator for research protocols, and chairperson for the Tumor Board Conference, Internal Review Board Committee and Steering Committee. She has published numerous clinical studies and papers in hematology.
Hassan is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, hematology, and hospice and palliative medicine. She received her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed her internship and residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. She completed her fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.
