Dr. Kevin Watt is medical director of the Compassus program serving Springfield, Missouri. He is also the medical director of Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Springfield and of Ozark Nursing and Care Center in nearby Ozark.

Watt has more than 30 years of experience serving in medical practices, clinics and senior care centers throughout southwestern Missouri. In addition to his medical director roles, Watt currently serves on the medical staffs of Doctor’s Hospital/Ozark Community Hospital Memory Clinic, Ozarks Community Hospital Webster County Clinic and Dallas County Care Center/ Buffalo Prairie Care Center.

Board certified in geriatrics, family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, Watt received his Hospice Medical Director certification in 2015. His research and commentary have been published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and New England Journal of Medicine. He is also an active member in the American Osteopathic Organization, American College of Family Physicians, American Medical Directors Association and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

A graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, Watt earned his Doctorate of Osteopathy degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed his internship at Tulsa Regional Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
