Dr. Edward Kemp Coreil is the medical director of the Compassus program serving Lafayette, Louisiana. He also practices at the Lafayette Internal Medicine Clinic and is an associate clinical professor of medicine at William Carey University.
Coreil is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University Medical Center – Shreveport, followed by a residency at the University of Tennessee – Memphis.
Coreil has served on numerous committees at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and Southwest Medical Center, including the medical executive committee, medical staff committee and board of directors. He is also an active member of the American College of Physicians and Louisiana State Medical Society.
