Bruce Ferrell, MD, is Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine and Division of Geriatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is also Director, UCLA Adult Palliative Care Services, at UCLA Ronald Reagan and UCLA Santa Monica Hospitals, as well as Program Director for the UCLA Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship training program. He is a member of the Compassus Scientific Advisory Council.
A recognized national and international leader in the area of pain in older persons, Dr. Ferrell’s primary focus is in applied clinical research. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society and a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
After completing medical school and an internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Ferrell trained in Geriatric Medicine at UCLA, where he has held a faculty appointment for more than 25 years.
