Jerry Bruggeman, MD, is an associate medical director for the Compassus program serving Columbia and Jefferson City, and has been active in hospice care since 2008. He also serves as medical director for several long-term care facilities in mid-Missouri, and has a growing long-term care practice, Advanced Senior Care, servicing an area with a 70-mile radius, centered in Columbia. Prior to that, he practiced in primary-care clinics that primarily focused on rural and underserved populations.
He received his bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Missouri-Columbia as well as his medical degree, where he also completed his residency and a year as chief resident in Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Bruggeman also holds an MBA in Health Management from William Woods University. He is board certified in Family Medicine, as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and is a Certified Medical Director by the American Medical Director’s Association.
